This project has been a long time in the works. It emerges out of a series of conversations with writers and artists I began having around 2010, with folks like John Giorno and Lisa Robertson and Alejandro Jodorowsky, among others. Over time, the process of making dialogues has become central to my editorial and critical work, and I know it is a format I will continue to experiment with in the years ahead.
There’s a lot to say about the modes of listening, the sense of collective composition, and the discourse of poetics that are all articulated throughout this book – I look forward to sharing soon its introduction, excerpts of dialogues, and news of the various programs the work will be a part of in the spring and summer.
For now, with the updated cover design now complete, I simply wanted to share a first look at the work, and urge readers interested in the stellar crew of writers, artists, and thinkers all involved in this project to pre-order copies of the book. Your support means a lot as we finalize the book’s production in the weeks ahead.
